There are many trekking trails which are easy to do and require no special trekking equipment. But you should have a fit body to climb up a mountain.<\/p>\n
As you start your ascent up the mountain, you pass through dense Shola forests and the winding road up the mountain will give you breathtaking views of the mountain tops covered in wisps of hovering clouds, misty valleys, and grassy plains.<\/p>\n
The rhododendron bushes<\/strong> add a romantic charm to the entire landscape. So, you should carry binoculars with you & digital cameras\/ DSLRs with which you can take fabulous scenic photographs.<\/p>\nAlso, take enough water<\/strong> with you during hot summer months, so that you stay hydrated.<\/p>\nOnce you\u2019ve reached the top of the peak, the magnificent sights that you see will be a fitting reward for your trek.<\/p>\n
4. Telescope House<\/h3>\nTelescope House, Doddabetta<\/p><\/div>\n
On top of Doddabetta Peak, there is a Telescope House, with two telescopes. You can view sweeping panoramic views of the entire region through these two telescopes, and get close-up views of the surrounding areas.<\/p>\n
Parts of Bandipur National Park, open grassy plains of Mysore and Coimbatore, Chamundi Hills are clearly visible through these telescopes.<\/p>\n
It was opened in 18 June, 1983<\/strong> and since then, the views of misty mountains, dense valleys and other peaks of this region have enthralled tourists who throng to this Telescope House to have a good view of the surroundings.<\/p>\n5. Doddabetta Tea Factory<\/h3>\nDoddabetta Tea Factory<\/p><\/div>\n
The Tea Factory at the base of Doddabetta Peak is a factory and museum, where you can see how tea is made from tea leaves. Here you will find various machines processing tea leaves & eventually making the tea powder that we use today by you & me.<\/p>\n
There are pictures & charts describing the discovery of tea, and various manufacturing processes involved in tea making. A free cup of hot tea is offered to visitors after the visit to the tea factory, and you can even buy tea packets from the factor. In short, its worth visiting.<\/p>\n
