About Mansapurna Karni Mata Ropeway:
There are many ways to come up to the Mansapurna Karni Mata temple. Like you can climb via stairs , walk around the path, but the easiest way to reach the temple is by Ropeway. Karni Mata Ropeway was built by businessman Kailash Khandelwal in association with UTI in 2008 and it is the first Ropeway in Rajasthan.
This ropeway is 387 meters long and it is connected to two places. After getting down from the cable car, the temple of karni Mata is a short distance away, which you can walk to.
After the darshan of Karni Mata, if you climb a little above the mountain , then it is the temple of Pahad wale Baba, which is also known as Malang Sarkar.
To reach Karni Mata , you will get a ropeway at a short distance from Deendayal park, which is 4-5 minutes away. The temple is at a distance of 5 minutes from the ropeway. You will get a very good view of Udaipur city from here like stunning view of local Udaipur tourist attractions like Lake Pichola, City Palace, Sajjangarh Fort, Fatehsagar Lake and Aravali Mountains.
There is also a very famous Sunset view point here and at night you get to see more beautiful views of all these places.
Timings of Temple and Ropeway:
Timing for Ropeway is from 9 am to 9 pm and Karni Mata Temple is open for devotees from 4 am to 7:30 pm.
The darshan timings is 4:30 am to 7 am and after that from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Evening Darshan time is from 5 pm to 7:30 pm.
Entry fees of ropeway:
It is Rs 72 for Indians adults & Rs 36 for children and for foreign adults is Rs 300 & for child is Rs 150 for full cabin it is Rs 400 per cabin.
About Mansapurna Karni Mata Temple:
Mansapurna Karni Mata is a Hindu Temple situated in Machla Magra Hills and it is near Dudh Talai Lake, here is the idol of Karni Mata. Karni Mata is considered as the form of God Durga.
The temple was created by Maharana Karan Singh between 1620 and 1628. Until 1997, this temple did not to be known much , after that this temple was redeveloped and since then the crowd of devotees started coming here.
Ropeways and stairs have been built for the convenience of the devotees in this temple.
The people who come here believe that if you visit the temple twice a day, then Karni Mata fulfills your every wish and prolongs your life and it is also believed that if you feed the rats here and take care of them, then Karni Mata will be happy with you and one assumption about Karni mata temple is you will find many black rats in temple but if you get to see white rats then you it is believed that you are very lucky.
The biggest priest here opens the Temple at 4’0 clock and there is Mangla aarti, after that special food, ‘bhog’ is offered to Karni Mata & after that it is given to the visitors and the devotees give these prashad and milk to the rats.

Lake Pichola:
Lake Pichola is a very famous lake in Udaipur, it is an artificial freshwater source, this lake was created in 1362 AD.This lake is named after a village called Picholi Village. There are four islands on this lake Jag Mandir, Arsi Vilas, Mohan Mandir, Jag Niwas.
Dudh Talai Lake:
Dudh talai lake is in the centre of Udaipur, there are small mountains around the lake.The view of Sunrise & Sunset is very good here and there are very beautiful views to be seen even at night.
Manik Lal Verma Park:
Manik Lal Verma Park was created in 1995 by the Municipal Council of Udaipur and it is also known as Dudh Talai Garden,this is where the ropeway starts to go to the Karni Mata Temple.Here you can have fun with your family & friends.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay park:
Pt. Upadhyay park is a small garden which is near Manikya lal verma garden and here is the first musical fountain of Rajasthan ,here you can enjoy with your family & friends, and there is also a musical fountain show in the evening.
Timing & entry fees of Pt. Upadhyay Park:
This garden is open 7 days a week and its gate opening time is 9am and closing time is 10pm. And the time of fountain in summer is 7 am and in winter at 6: 30pm
Entry fees are Rs 20 for adults and Rs 10 for children, and for foreigners is Rs.30 per person.
