Fateh Sagar Lake is open for general public or travellers from 8 am to 6 pm, and the entry fees for Fateh Sagar lake is Rs 30 per person. One can also plan to enjoy a boat ride in Fateh Sagar Lake by paying the below fare:
- Motor Boat ride: Rs 100 for kids & Rs 200 for adult.
- Speed Boat ride: Rs 200 per person for 30 minutes.
Note: Boat ride at rateh safar lake are only available till 4:30 pm.
Things to do & see at Fateh Sagar lake
As we have mentioned above the boat ride in Fateh Sagar lake is quite popular, and apart from this, you can also plan a morning or evening walk around the lake, especially at the Maharana Pratap Samarak, which is on the western side of the Lake. 1. Visit the 3 islands in the Fateh Sagar Lake:

Fateh Sagar Lake is huge, and inside its premises you must visit Nehru Park (a garden built in the largest island of Fateh Sagar Lake), 2nd island is a public park where the main tourist attraction is the water jet fountain and the island here has Udaipur Solar Observatory. which was built inside the Fateh Sagar Lake in 1975 by Dr Bhatnagar.
Out of these three islands, one must spend some time at Nehru Park which is as beautiful as the mughal gardens of Delhi and Kashmir. A small tip, reach here by 8:30 pm to get best pictures.
2. Boat ride at Fateh Sagar lake:

To explore the above three islands, you will have to book a boat ride at fateh Sagar lake. To book a boat ride you need to pay a minimum of Rs 200 per person. In this boat ride you will also see the beautiful scenery of Hills that surround the city, along with many gardens on both side of the lake.
You can choose one of two boat rode options, 1st a Speed boat ride that will cost Rs 200 per person for 30 minutes, and Rs 100 for motorboat and Rs 30 for simple boat ride.
3. Visit nearby attractions along in banks of Fateh Sagar Lake:

Along with boat ride & trips to the 3 islands of Fateh Sagar Lake, you must visit many other attractions which are on the Lake banks, like Maharana Pratap Samarak, the statue of the most famous king of Udaipur (Maharana Pratap). Visit the Hall Of Heroes museum, which is a small museum dedicated to the rulers of Mewar, especially Maharana Pratap. Visit Under The Sun Aquarium, which is one of the biggest Aquarium in India that started in 2017 and present more than 150 different species of fishes.
Along with above three sites, you can spend some time at 3 beautiful gardens which are on the western side of the Lake. These are Rajiv Gandhi Garden, Sanjay Gandhi Park and Lake Garden. Just opposite road from Lake Garden, you can also visit Mahakaleshwar Temple, which is quite popular & dedicated to Lord Shiva.
4. Sunset points at Fateh Sagar Lake:
And on both eastern & western side of the Lake, you will find many sunset points but the Dewali Sunset Point, which is north of the lake is the best place to capture a sunrise of sunset point at Fateh Sagar Lake.

A beautiful site like fateh Sagar lake, always attract many events and one of the best event that is annually organised at Fateh Sagar Lake is the World Music Festival. This is a 3 days festival that is organized in the month of February, where folk singers of Rajasthan gathers to present some of the finest music of the state.
Along with World Music Festival, the Hariyali Amavasya Mela (Green New Moon) is an anther annual even, which is organized at Fateh Sagar Lake. This again is a 3 days festival, organized in the month of Shravan (August) and is full of fun activities, cultural dance, music etc.
